Blue, the supposedly most expensive movie is out and critics are competing to rip the movie. Critics talk about lack of storyline etc., etc., and they will talk always about what is not there rather than what is there? yes... This is a single line story movie but it is a brilliant movi
e. Arent we watching so called un convincing hollywood movies for special effects without a complaint? and if so, why cant we watch a brilliant Indian movie?
First things first. Such movie was unseen on Indian screen and definetely takes bollywood beyond ROM COMs, revenge dramas and marriage videos. Titles may give credit to Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar and Zayed Khan as Heroes of the movie, but according to me heroes are Anthony Dsouza, Peter Zuccharini, AR Rahman, Rasool pookatty and Action directors.
The movie starts with amazing display of underwater life. Though all of us would have experienced in Nat Geo, its worth watching the same on 70MM. Then moves to Bahamas,bangkok and again to Bahamas. Director was absolutely clear about the canvas he was working on and scenes were neatly etched. Lara's intro scene where she is draped in black and everything else in room is in white is cute. The sunset scene in foreground of Sanjay and Lara taken from their back is amazing. Just a look a bike blast scene in bangkok where the bike comes on Zayed is worth watching. The bike chase scene in Bahamas is breath taking and underwater stunts are absolutely amazing. Rahman and Rasool Pookutty were at their best. You can experience world class background music and sound design at its best. The sound etched when the eaves hit the shore are so real and every sound is fine tuned. The award for excellence should go to each and every technician worked for this movie. If u dont rush out after climax and wait for rolling titles, Iam sure you will be amazed at the list of technicians worked for this movie. Music is too good and for the first time AR Rahman was not repititive.
What else??? I havent talked about actors and I wouldnt. Not that they have done any bad job. The core actors are just 8 and rest all are come and go.
For a movie which is a visual grandeur and never before on Indian screen, I would give a must watch or else you will miss a good movie. If you are looking for a movie with Story, there are enough in theatres and Iam sure you will easily get tickets for those movies.
